Gomes Tracker (11/5/2008)

Since Herb Hill and Austin Croshere don’t get any run on their teams, Ryan Gomes is the only former Friar in the NBA who gets any serious playing time. So, I am going to try to give a little Gomes update after each Timberwolves game.

The San Antonio Spurs beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 129-125 in a wild double-OT game in Minnesota Wednesday night. Tony Parker had 55 points.

Gomes got the start at forward and logged around 22 minutes. He saw about a minute of time in each OT and registered an assist in the 2nd overtime.

His overall stats for the game were 7 points (3-8 shooting), 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Gomes has started all 4 games for the Timberwolves so far.   After tonights loss they are 1-3.
