Well, at least we got Lacy!

Not really surprising, PG Chris Colvin, the #2 rated senior prospect out of Illinois, finally picked Iowa State in a press conference on Wednesday night.  He supposedly narrowed his choices down to ISU and Providence College before making his decision.  ISU has known since Monday, when Colvin faxed in his letter of intent.

“Everything just clicked with them on my visit there (Oct. 17),” said the 6-2 Colvin, who is rated the No. 15 point guard in the nation by rivals.com. “They showed the most interest as both a player and a person, and I felt very comfortable with the players there. There’s also a good chance I can be an impact player right away.

Colvin said Iowa State’s educational emphasis was a major factor in his decision. He also has family in the area.

He also had high praise for Hilton Coliseum.

Best of luck to Chris.
