So it’s the biggest game of the Friars’ young season, and it’s on at 11:30PM on THANKSGIVING NIGHT. Damn you Pacific Time! Seriously, are you good for anything?
Since I turned 21, I can’t remember the last time I made it to even 10 O’clock on a Thanksgiving night. First of all, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (which is a National Drinking Holiday) usually leads to one of the worst hangovers of the year (how else can you deal with seeing all those kids from high school who you hated). To deal with said hangover on Thanksgiving day, you usually drink more (how else can you deal with seeing all of your family), while simultaneously eating as much food as you can without throwing up. By the time I leave wherever I am on Thanksgiving, I usually feel like I’ve been shot by multiple aborigine tranquilizer darts (“Three Darts is tooo much!”)
This is how I feel on Thanksgiving Night.
This year I will be staying at Friarmom’s house. It’s going to be a full house, with all the rooms with TVs being occupied. Surely everyone but me is going to be asleep come game time. Lucky for me I can access my own TV through my computer. It just sucks because the Friars are finally on regular television, yet I am going to have to watch through the computer yet again. Oh well, it has to be better quality than ChannelSurfing.net.
Anyway, I plan on trying to organize another LIVE BLOG if anyone wants to follow/join while watching the game (while the rest of their family sleeps ). Check back on the site on Thursday for the link.
So I ask everyone, WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR LATE NIGHT THANKSGIVING? HOW WILL YOU BE FOLLOWING THE FRIARS?
