McDermott at the Charity Stripe Since the URI Game winner…

Geoff McDermott had a 7-9 night from the line against Bryant on Monday night — clearly his best night of the season from freebie land.  Did he get any confidence after he hit two clutch foul shots with 17 seconds left with his team down by 1 to beat URI?   It seems like he’s been better at the line, but *anything* had to be better than his bricking during the first half of OOC play.  Let’s take a look at the numbers.

Geoff is a career 57.9% free-throw shooter

PRIOR TO THE URI GAME WINNERS

17-40 (42.5%)

SINCE

18-25 (72%)

SEASON TOTALS

35-65 (54%)

Looks like the law of averages :)
