Vincent Council will be visiting Rutgers for their Big East Opener against Pitt

Providence recruiting target Vincent Council will visit Rutgers for their New Year’s Eve opener against #3 Pittsburgh at the RAC.

According to ZagsBlog.com

Vincent Council, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound point guard from New York, will visit Rutgers this week and will attend the Pittsburgh game on Wednesday at the RAC.

“I’m going on the 30th,” Council, who plays for Chris Chaney at The Patterson (NC) School, wrote Sunday in a text message.

Council is also supposed to visit Central Florida the weekend of Jan. 10.

Council is basically down to Providence, Rutgers and UCF and his father, Vincent Council Sr., said he will announce in early January.

As I mentioned last night, Rutgers is in the process of being the first team to ever play the top 3 seeds in the nation in a row.   Rutgers beat Pitt (at the time ranked #13, but playing without Levance Fields) last year at the Peterson Center, so they hope they can find some New Year’s Eve magic and show Council a great game at the RAC.
