The Providence Friars upset #15 ranked Syracuse by a score of 100-94.

Say what you will about unnessasarily storming the court.  I don’t care.  We don’t get to beat ranked teams at home too often.  Storm away!

I also don’t care if Rautins didn’t play, or that Onuaku only played 15 mins and wasnt healthy.  I don’t care.

Jonny Flynn (35 points) and Eric Devendorf (27 points) still had incredible games, but it didn’t matter.

The first half was an absolute slugfest.  The lead changed about 73 times, and it was 44-44 at intermission.  Providence took control in the 2nd, and led by as many as 14 points.  Syracuse would not go away though, and battled to the very end.

The Friars got an awesome game from Sharaud Curry, who had 22 points and 4 assists.  Marshon Brooks had 17, Geoff McDermott 15, and Jonathan Kale 14.  Just an awesome offensive game all around for the Friars.

The Friars are now 6-2 in the BIG EAST, and finally have a nice win for their RESUME.  Still a pretender?

When asked for a comment about the game, here is what Marvin Barnes had to say..

Check back tomorrow for the full recap.
