Ryan Ayers scored 28, making seven of Notre Dame’s 13 3-pointers, as the Fighting Irish beat Providence 103-84 on Saturday.
Ayers went 6-for-8 from the 3-point line in the first half as the Irish (15-11, 6-8 Big East) sank nine of their first 12 attempts to open a 17-point first-half lead.

The Providence College men’s basketball team (16-10, 8-6 BIG EAST) lost to the University of Notre Dame (14-11, 5-8 BIG EAST) by the score of 103-84 on Saturday, February 21 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center. Senior Weyinmi Efejuku (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) paced the Friars with a career-high 31 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the field. Efejuku scored 26 of his 31 points in the second half.

The Irish burned PC’s zone defense, its presses and even the man-to-man that Keno Davis tried to use in the second half. Seven Big East opponents have now scored 91 or more points against PC.
