OK, So Would PC At Least Make the Snub List of the Snub List?

I didn’t have the pleasure of watching the Selection Show on CBS.  Instead I had to listen on WFAN to hear Arizona being picked in the field of 65.  Apparently, CBS didn’t even mention Providence among the teams that were just left out (not sure how many/who they showed though).  Geesh, I love “How I Met Your Mother” and “Big Bang Theory” and all, but CBS we are so in a fight.  I’m taking down my Greg Gumble poster down.

Checking ESPN.com later in the night, I saw a Sportsnation “List Ranker” of the teams left out of the tournament.  TEN TEAMS.

I’ve never been one to buy into the whole conspiracy theory of the media constantly knocking Providence College, but this is ridiculous.  Virginia Tech?   They were 18-14 and 7-9 in the ACC.  Who out there even considered having Davidson in their brackets even two weeks ago?  I get it, they have Steph Curry.  Why does everyone cream over the BIG EAST, yet not acknowldege what the Friars accomplished this year?   Is it because they won ONE BET game?  Sorry for losing to the BIG EAST regular season champs / BIG EAST Tournament champs / NCAA #1 seed / Eventual AP #1 seed.

I would also like to point out that the guys over at BaselineStats.com (run by a member of Providence’s Scout Messageboard) had PC as the 6th team out.  Their bracket projection was the THIRD most accurate (according to the Bracket Project Matrix) out of 61 total brackets — They even beat Joey Brackets.  Good work fellas!
