This is just pure hilarity. The folks over at the College Basketball Blog “Storming the Floor” have a great article dedicated to finding the best player name this year. The award is aptly named after one of our own, none other than the great God Shammgod.
Locally, a Rhody Ram made the list — forward Orion Outerbridge. My favorite, hands down, comes from a senior transfer walk-on who plays for Siena. His actual name?

Just-in’love? Really? Even greater, his bio page has a nickname listed (in case you were wondering, it’s J-Love). All kidding aside, the guy was in the military for four years and also spent a year in Iraq, so this guy is pretty damn awesome in my book. I do think it’s weird that he was born in 1983 and is playing college basketball, but hey, whatever! We’ve had some Friars over the years play at 25 and 26, so who are we to judge? Good luck with the Saints this year Just-in’love.
