Stevie Taylor is a junior guard from Lincoln High School in Ohio.  His final three schools are Akron, Ohio University, and Providence.  On three different sites, I’ve seen his height listed as 5-6, 5-7, and 5-9.  Not sure which is correct, but I’m guessing he’s pretty small.  He is ranked #150 on Rivals (#34 for point guards).

Stevie Taylor is a scat-quick 2011 guard from Ohio we’ve profiled in the past, reporting at the time about Providence’s interest in his services as a pure point guard. Yesterday afternoon Providence Coach Keno Davis and assistant Chris Davis flew into Columbus and watched Stevie during a three-hour practice. The coaches told Stevie they were very impressed and told him they would call him in a few days according to a source. Stevie Taylor already commented in a recent text message that the Friars have offered so maybe there will be a commitment coming soon?

Sounds like a good player, but the height concerns me after following Sharaud Curry for 5 years now.  It’s not to say he can’t turn out to be really good, but we know what we generally could be getting with his size.
