Here is a good in-depth interview with Coach Keno Davis on SNY.com
Coach’s Corner: Providence’s Keno Davis
SNY.tv: With so many newcomers, are you happy with where this team is at?
KD: I really am. Obviously, fans want to win every game, but when you look at our schedule we’ve played six road games, while it was just Louisville’s third road game [when they played us]. We’ve been tested, we’ve been on the road, we’ve had a tough schedule and we’re doing it with many new players that include starting a freshman center [Bilal Dixon] and a sophomore at power forward [Jamine Peterson]. To have the record that we do and to play at a high level most games? I like the way we’re going and I think we’re progressing [as a team].
Making the NCAA tournament out of the Big East always means we can go far. The more times we’re there, the better our chances of going on a run. It’s a crap-shoot. Every year our goal is to make the NCAA tournament and I don’t think we’re too far away from that goal.
