The Providence Friars defeated the Brown Bears 91-64.  After hanging close in the first half, Brown was simply worn out in the last 20 minutes and got dominated by PC’s offense.

WHY PROVIDENCE WON: Career nights from Marshon Brooks and Vincent Council, who pretty much just took over the game in the 2nd half. Brooks scored a career high 33 points, and VC dished out a career high 16 assists (while also scoring 19 points).

TURNING POINT: After Garrett Leffelman and Vincent Council exchanged threes to start off the 2nd half, PC only led the game 42-37. Marshon Brooks then took over, scoring 12 points across the first four minutes of the 2nd half on two threes and three layups. The Friars suddenly lead by 18, and would not look back. That escalated quickly.

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Brooks and Council easily share this one tonight.

GOAT OF THE GAME: Whoever’s job it was on Brown to stop Vincent Council. YOU JUST CAN”T.
