First-year Friar Head Coach Ed Cooley and his squad will be introduced to the public at 10 p.m. Doors to the event will be opened at 9:30 p.m. The event is free and all fans attending will receive a 2011 Providence College Late Night Madness t-shirt. Fans are encouraged to arrive early as seating is limited.

CBSSports: Midnight Madness Recruiting Preview

Doesn’t look like any of the 2012 stud bigs will be attending, as Chris Obekpa is heading to St. John’s and JaKarr Sampson not heading anywhere. Other notable targets attending other schools are Noah Vonleh (UCONN), Nerlens Noel (Syracuse), and Brannen Greene (Kansas).

With Late Night Madness approaching, Friar Basketball takes a look back at last year’s event and all the recruits who showed up but committed elsewhere.

Only months removed from a disastrous offseason, the talent on campus brought considerable buzz across Friartown, but the weekend didn’t translate into results as Boatright verballed to West Virginia days later and both Chandler and Harris committed elsewhere.
