In an interview with @johniesnation this weekend, Chris Obekpa did not mention Providence College when asked about what schools were recruiting him. Not sure what to make of this, as he didn’t even seem to sure when trying to think of the others — UCLA, UCONN, Cincinnati, Seton Hall, DePaul, and somewhere else I couldn’t make out (Kentucky?). Ed Cooely is also definitely recruiting the 2012 big man, as he has been on campus for an unofficial visit. I don’t think this means the Friars are out of consideration, as Obekpa has not officially announced a list yet.
