Spread the word Ed Cooley Talks Providence Hoops

More Cooley at BIG EAST Media Day.

Dean’s Desk: Friars Ed Cooley More Than a Coach

In case you missed the video a few weeks back, Dean Harrington from Shamrock Financial talks about Ed Cooley’s talk he gave to the company.

“I will never ever complain about anything because I am grateful for what I have.”, says Cooley. At Stonehill, he served as the team captain and began to develop his leadership skills. “I had two back surgery’s and missed a full year at Stonehill, so I had to learn to be the best teammate.” Cooley recalls. “If I had rods in my back, you should be able to dive for a loose ball” is the mentality Cooley instilled in his teammates. “Today I got to help a teammate” is how Cooley saw it; a philosophy he passionately instills in his young Friars today.

CBS Sports: Conference Countdown: No. 1 — Big East

Jeff Goodman previews the BIG EAST and predicts the Friars to finish 13th. Definitely the highest I’ve seen them anywhere this preseason. Seton Hall, USF, and DePaul are the teams he picks to finish below PC.

13. Providence: Ed Cooley didn’t inherit an NCAA tournament-caliber roster, but he will have a strong backcourt with Vincent Council and Gerard Coleman. It’ll be interesting to see what he can get up front from Kadeem Batts and Bilal Dixon.

NetsDaily: Brooks, Morrow Playing Saturday in Atlanta “Monster Slam” Benefit

Hey while you are down there Marshon, go do some hanging out with Brannen Greene and sell Ed Cooley a little more! The anaconda needs more attention from Friartown.

MarShon Brooks, last seen scoring 48 in New York streetball, and Anthony Morrow, last seen winning one for The Bieber, will be in Atlanta Saturday afternoon for Damien Wilkins ”Monster Event” charity benefit game at Clark University.  And they will be among a cast of stars, tweets Wilkins. Providence College Head Coach Ed Cooley’s “Welcome Home Party” Set for November 12

So, who is going to pack the DUNK for Cooley’s first game? I’ll be there in Twitter spirit.

Providence College men’s basketball will open its regular season on November 12 against the Fairleigh Dickinson University Knights at 2 p.m. at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, R.I. This game marks Head Coach Ed Cooley’s first regular-season game for the Friars and has been dubbed his “Welcome Home Party.”

Several promotions will be available for this game. Fans who bring a canned good to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank’s Holiday Meal Drive will receive a voucher for a ticket to a future men’s basketball game. Also, fans who bring their ticket stubs from the men’s basketball game to the Providence College men’s hockey game against Vermont at Schneider Arena at 7 p.m. will receive two tickets for the price of one.

YouTube: Kiwi Gardner Fans!!!!

This is totally random, but somewhat funny. Apparently this is an outtake clip from “YAYAREASFINEST” mixtape people. “I heard he’s really good…He’s tiny though!”. Aaaaand that’s what she said. Literally.
