Ed Cooley talked to the press along with Vincent Council and LaDontae Henton after the 80-49 victory over Brown. He was all smiles talking about Council’s near triple double (21 points, 11 assists, 9 rebounds) and the great team defense. However, at the end it turned somber when he gave the unfortunate news that Kiwi Gardner would in fact miss the entire season after losing the appeals over his initial eligibility.

“I feel bad for Kiwi..It’s something we can’t control…My heart goes out to him”, Cooley said.

Cooley himself said he wasn’t quite sure what would happen to Kiwi going forward, saying he could potentially join the team down the line as a partial qualifier. Before he was going to answer any questions Cooley said there were a lot of rules he had to read up.

Kiwi cannot practice with the team while he is ruled ineligible, but Cooley made it seem like he would be returning to PC for the 2nd sememster.

More to come soon.
