Nerlens Noel Reclassifies to 2012, PC Still in the Mix

Dave Telep of ESPN is reporting that Nerlens Noel has reclassified to the class of 2012. This is HUGE HUGE news, as Ed Cooley and the Friars are very much in the mix for the flat-top toting shot blocker extraordinaire.

Nerlens Noel moves to No. 1 in 2012 class (Insider)

The Class of 2012 received a significant boost on Wednesday. Nerlens Noel (Everett, Mass./Tilton), the No. 2 overall recruit in the Class of 2013, told ESPN.com that he will rejoin his original classification and graduate this spring. He’ll play college basketball next fall.

Noel reclassified early in his high school career following an injury that cost him time. He’s prepared academically and basketball-wise to make the move into the senior class.

Noel told Telep that Syracuse, UConn, Providence, Kentucky, Florida, Georgetown and North Carolina are in the mix for him.

If Ed Cooley ever landed a 2012 Big 3 of Ricky Ledo, Kris Dunn and Nerlens Noel, Friar Hysteria would break containment
