Jake O’Brien to Visit PC This Weekend

Jake O’Brien, formerly of Boston University (not the MMA fighter, and probably not the son of Donald O’Brien), is supposed to visit Providence this weekend according to Chris DiSano of College Chalk Talk.

The 6’8 O’Brien announced last week he would be leaving BU since they are ineligible to play in the America East tournament due to leaving the conference next year. He would be eligible to play elsewhere immediately since he already graduated. Since the Friars missed out on all of their 2012 big man targets this offseason, O’Brien would be a great addition for next year’s team that everyone knows is lacking in front court depth .
