Providence vs. Bryant Live Thread

Hey Friartown. Are you ready for some makeshift point guard fun against Bryant tonight? Instead of a Live Blog like we have done the last few games, I’m going to throw out a live thread and see if it sticks.

In the comments below, be sure to leave your thoughts before, during, and after the game! The comments should also load in live without having to refresh the page (I think, that’s why I’m trying this way out).

The game will be televised on Cox, ESPN Full Court, and SNY of you happen to get any of those.

    Vincent Council is obviously not playing tonight. Cooley still hasn’t announced the severity of the injury, but I’ve been hearing he could be out awhile.

    That was an excellent half. I think the Friars are in “Nobody believed in us!” mode. Batts played with a lot of energy and Bryant had NO way of stopping him.

    Great intensity on defense. Fortune having a little trouble getting off screens. Batts is the best player on the court by far. Ledo looks like he’s having fun on the bench. That guy in the student section yelling during free throws is AWESOME

      Defense definitely good, but man does Bryant take a lot of threes. Bunch of chuckers

    They got away from what was working in the 1st half – Batts inside, Batts inside & more Batts inside.

    Final score: PC 81, Bryant 49…Batts finishes with 27 points, a career high. Ice Cotton with 24 points and 11 rebounds.
