Lot’s of recruiting action today as the September contact period is kicked off. You can scratch off Brandon Austin off the list, as Adam Zagoria tweeted that he was no longer considering PC. The Providence coaching staff was hard at work all over the country. Kevin McNamara reported that some staff were in Michigan to see 2014 shooting guard E.C. Matthews (ESPN #85, Rivals #92). The Putnam Science Academy (where Dayshon Smith plays) Twitter account also mentioned that someone from Providence was there to see their 4 on 4 scrimmage action. Ed Cooley? He’s in Nashville, Tennessee trying to reel in a highly touted recruit.
