Daniel "The Warrior Friar" James —  January 31st, 2013 12:56 PM —  Comments

Welcome to another Friarblog Pregame Buffet, a new feature I hope to make regular on this site. This buffet comes with all-you-can-eat videos, audio, images, lists, and everything else you need to have a good time.

Like most buffets this is short on words, but long on content. Read/listen/watch on to get everything you need to fill up on before the UConn game at the Dunk tonight at 7:00!

Bilal Dixon had a thunderous one handed dunk against Villanova on a nice feed from Vincent Council.  He came down hard as Yarou fouled him.

The play was featured on SportsCenter as the #2 play of the day.  Congrats Bilal!  You only need 3 more to catch up with Greedy!

Here is a nice still from the AP Photos.

Vincent Council, Welcome to the BIG EAST

Early in the second half against Marquette, Vincent Council tried going coast to coast for a quick layup after a Golden Eagles basket.  Council would have had an easy hoop, if not for getting the ball absolutely stuffed back by Friar killer and senior forward Lazar Hayward.  Check out the nasty block below.

Ouch.

Here is part of the post game press conference.  Hearing a UConn coach talk about a loss without any F bombs is just not the same.  Get better Jim.

Greedy’s SportsCenter Dunk Montage

Jamine Peterson got a lot of love on tonight’s 11PM SportsCenter, as they showcased all of his insane dunks in the big win over Connecticut.  My favorite was the last one, titled “Baseline Tomahawk”.  His knees almost hit the freakin’ rim!

Thanks to Ryan from RI Sports Coverage for the video!
